Smartphone video training for arts and museums professionals

This training is designed for arts and museums professionals to provide you with the skills and confidence you need to produce engaging videos on a low budget. During the workshop, you’ll learn how to make quick videos to share ‘in the moment’ on social media, as well as how to film and edit short trailers, news stories to use online and footage to send to media outlets.

Courses cover filming techniques, making the most of a smartphone, telling your story, how to use apps and basic additional kit to improve quality.

If the course takes place at your cultural venue, you can make a video during the day and be ready to share it online.

The smartphone video workshop will be tailored to the needs of the participants who may be working in museums or arts organisations, or groups of individual artists.

Workshops can be provided in person or online.

Get in Touch
Training is always adapted to the needs of participants, so do get in touch if you’d like to have an informal chat about the possibilities.

The course was full of practical tips that can be used on the fly in addition to simple methods for filmmaking and apps we can use to make video filmmaking easy and creative. There was plenty of time to put these into practice on the day. The team are now feeling really energised about making films and we have been able to think about ways to address some of our challenges thanks to the course.
